Pets benefit from visiting their doctor regularly. Puppy and kitten wellness exams are routinely performed at 6, 9, 12, and 16 weeks. During these visits they receive vaccinations, parasite checks, and a complete physical examination. Annual wellness examinations are performed on pets between 1 and 6 years of age. These exams help to identify and address medical, behavioral, and environmental issues before they present a serious concern. Senior wellness examinations are performed on pets over the age of seven. These exams are similar to the annual exams with the addition of possible blood tests to evaluate organ functions of our older pets. Some diseases of concern to senior pets include glaucoma, diabetes, kidney disease, arthritis, dental disease and heart disease.
